Style

Drawing heavily on nature and strong lines in architecture, Antoinette believes looking at everyday things all influence our lives and are a valuable source of inspiration. Our surroundings are often taken for granted - where we grow up, live and work - Antoinette combines the influence of suburban living, city exploration and countryside retreats to create her contemporary design style. Her distinctive use of crisp clean lines, with a fashion orientated twist both compliment and enhance Purple Label's selection of jewellery design.

Career

Antoinette inherited her artistic talent from her mother, an accomplished artist herself. After her gaining a top-level A* in art at school, she went on to complete A-Levels where she was already becoming a talent to watch. Even at this early stage Antoinette was attracting significant interest in her work and requests for commissions.

From here a move to a dedicated art college initially provided a means to explore further art subjects, but finally developed her passion for jewellery design. With keen attention to detail and an emerging unique style, this became a natural progression for Antoinette's talent.

Next a move to Kent to study for a Degree in Silversmithing, Goldsmithing and Jewellery Design at one of the country's leading institutions, The Kent Institute of Art and Design, now known as University College of the Creative Arts. The college is highly regarded within the jewellery design profession due to an illustrious listing of alumni.

Antoinette not only received an Honours degree, but won a bursary award from the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths as well as a commendation in design also from the worshipful company of Goldsmiths; these are two accolades that are not easily won. Her awards saw her designs enter the Goldsmiths Hall exhibitions, and exhibited at New Designer's exhibition in London.

Antoinette's designs form an outstanding contribution to the company's ready to wear range with a creative input to her work that is rarely seen elsewhere. She is the senior designer at Harriet Kelsall Jewellery Design with a very impressive list of commission customers from around the world, eager to be wearing dress jewellery, engagement rings, wedding rings and eternity rings by this very talented young jewellery designer.
